My favourite Uncle Ever since I can remember Georges or 'Mon Oncle Chris' as was his nickname to us or Chris to everyone in the RAF.He was always dapper, suave and sophisticated RAF Officer sporting a fine moustach and a heavy french accent when speaking english.I imagin this devastating combination would knock the socks of the ladies!
This chap has always had a love of life and fully embrased it.
At 14 I had to do French project, he sat me down and opened 10 bottles of his finest wines. We were wrecked... but I scored the highest grades in French that year and still enjoy attempting the language and the wine!
It seemed as though Chris was always going to lead a happy batchelor life until one day we were delighted to be introdcued to his Fiance Carol, a georgous nurse and great fun always.
Never saw a man happier, soon they had Nina and Fred (Nick)two lovely kids who have grown into great adults and are both successful in their chosen paths.
A true hero, a fine friend and a great role model. Martin Green le mercredi 28 novembre 2012 Contribution au livre ouvert de Georges Cristinacce |
